World Of Goo Review

World of Goo is a cool physics based puzzle game, developed by 2D boy, released fore Android, WiiWare and Windows. The game has won many awards since its release, for it’s innovating game play, great design and interface.  World Of Goo is all about building large structures made out of goo balls. The game itself is divided into 5 chapters, each of them containing different landscape designs, atmosphere, unique graphics and objectives.

You can also play World Of Goo Corporation mode, which is the online multi player mode in World Of Goo. In Corporation, players all across the world compete online to form the biggest goo structures, and dominate the leaderboards which are constantly updated by 2D boy.

World Of Goo Review

The main idea of the game is to direct the goo balls into a pipe that represents the exit, and the pass to the next level. To do just that, a player needs to construct structures to transport the goo balls, such as  towers, bridges, giant tongues and more. As the game is physics based, players needs to overcome obstacles such as gravity and rough terrain, as well as hills, mountains or edges.

Every aspect of the game is just brilliant, as there are many different types of goo balls, each of them with its own specific characteristics. You, as the goo master must exploit different combination of these goo balls, to pass on to the next level. As the game unfolds, new goo species are discovered, and additional goo balls join you in the quest. When you finish a level, and bring some extra goo balls with you, they get sucked into the world of goo corporation, which is a sandbox area where players compete online to build the tallest goo towers.

For each chapter or level there is a cut scene to keep things interesting. As you progress in the game, new territories unravel. Meet new weird creatures, interact with aliens, save goo balls and attract as many goo species as you possible can! The game has more than 45 levels across 5 chapters, so many hours of pure fun are guaranteed!

Story

Each of the five chapters takes place in a different season, ending with an epilogue. The fifth and final chapter occurs in the virtual world, and has no specific season. There are a total of 47 levels in the world of goo game, apart from world of goo corporation online mode. Rumors say that 2D plans on adding a sixth chapter that will set on the moon, sometime this year. The moon mode will be similar to world of goo corporation, which meaning high replaying value!

Inside the world of goo, you are both an engineer, leader and explorer! Did i mention conqueror? Build structures made out of goo, such as bridges and towers, discover new lands, monsters and goo balls and lead your goo army down the drain of a never ending stream of goo!
